Letters to the Editor

We welcome letters responding to recent articles or to events or issues of general concern to the bar. Letters may be edited for style or abridged due to space limits. Contact: Ronald J. Fleury, Editor in Chief.

Commentary Articles

Attorneys are invited to submit "op-ed" articles, not longer than 750 words, which take affirmative or negative positions on matters of interest to the bar. Contact: Pamela Brownstein, Executive Editor.

Practice-Oriented Articles

We publish two substantive-law articles a week plus frequent special issues with attorney-bylined articles devoted to selected practice areas. Articles should be 1500 words or less. Contact: Juliette Gillespie, Law Editor.

News About People and Firms

Announcements and photographs of new firms, new hires, promotions, awards, celebrations and other noteworthy events are invited. Contact: Jonathan Erway, Assistant Editor.

Obituaries

Obituaries about New Jersey lawyers are published without charge. They should be 300 words or less and include the deceaseds age, law school and colleges attended, career history (including firm affiliations), memberships and significant achievements. Contact: Candida DaFonseca, Assistant Editor.

Corrections Policy

We always publish corrections at least as prominently as the original mistake was published. If we make a mistake on page one, we will correct it there. We are eager to make corrections quickly and candidly. We will publish corrections on our own and in our own voice as soon as we learn about mistakes and can confirm the inaccuracies. Although we welcome letters to the editor critical of our work, an aggrieved person need not have a letter published for us to correct a mistake. Our corrections policy should not be mistaken for a policy of accommodating readers who are simply unhappy about a published article. Contact: Ronald J. Fleury, Editor in Chief.

Announce Successful Bar Candidates

The Law Journal publishes a gallery of photos of successful bar candidates following the November and May admissions. If you or someone you know has passed the bar, e-mail Carmen Natale, Photo Editor, at njphotos@amlaw.com. Please attach a digital photo of the candidate sized to 3" by 5" at 225 dpi resolution. Be sure to clearly identify the subject of the photo by name.

Directory of New Jersey In-House Counsel

The Law Journal publishes an annual Directory of New Jersey In-House Counsel each June. To order the directory, click here. The directory contains more listings than any other of its kind, but it does not include every in-house attorney practicing in New Jersey.
